The Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK met on the 13th of April Here are some of the key points and highlights of the meeting
– new members of State Affairs Commission(SAC) such as Ri Pyong Chol and Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon elected . Former foreign minister Ri Yong Ho and former WPK vice-chairman voted off .
-no cases of Covid 19 in the country
-plan for industrial output was overfull filed by 8 per cent
-DPRK has a budgetary surplus as state budgetary revenue plan overfull filed by 1.5 per cent but slight under spend of 0.2 per cent on expenditure
-in the coming financial year on average public spending will rise by 5.1 per cent with a 7.4 per cent in spending on health
-the Cabinet will boost its role as the organizer of the state economy and and guide the economy in a unified manner . Basically strengthening socialist planning or central planning rather than ‘market reforms’
