This is an artist’s impression of a modern urban street which will be constructed in the Hwasong area in Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Following the construction of 10 000 flats in the Songsin and Songhwa area in Pyongyang which was completed last year, another 10 000 flats will be built in the Hwasong area this year. And magnificent streets including tens of thousands of flats, public buildings and service facilities will be built there in three or so years. Then the appearance of Pyongyang will be transformed once again.
