23rd Plenary Meeting of 14th SPA Standing Committee Held

 

 

 

Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) — The 23rd Plenary Meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) of the DPRK took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Dec. 6.
Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA, presided over the plenary meeting.
Attending the meeting were Vice-Chairman Kang Yun Sok, Secretary General Ko Kil Son and other members of the SPA Standing Committee.
Present there as observers were officials concerned of the SPA Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions.
Put on the agenda of the plenary meeting were the issues of convening the SPA of the DPRK, adopting the Law of the DPRK on Public Catering, and recalling and electing judges and people’s assessors of the Central Court of the DPRK.
The decision of the SPA Standing Committee of the DPRK on convening the 8th Session of the 14th SPA was adopted with unanimous approval at the plenary meeting.
Then, there was a report on the main contents of the Law of the DPRK on Public Catering which was deliberated by the SPA Legislation Committee.
The law stipulates the mission and character of public catering as part of the socialist commerce and clarifies the principled issues arising in establishing a strict system and order in the organization and operation of the public catering network for the people’s diet and convenience and the development of the country’s culinary art and in strengthening the administrative guidance and legal control over it.
The plenary meeting studied and examined the draft law on the agenda and adopted the Law of the DPRK on Public Catering as a decree of the SPA Standing Committee.
The plenary meeting recalled and elected judges and people’s assessors of the Central Court of the DPRK. -0-
