Yesterday(24 February ) the UK Foreign , Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) announced that the UK was imposing sanctions on 5 senior officials of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK ) including the Minister of National Defence No Kwang Chol and 4 officials of the DPRK .
This is an outrageous violation of the DPRK’s sovereignty and right to existence .
Moreover it is an idiotic decision that is based on falsehoods, lies and untruths . The UK FCDO’s website falsely claims that 11 ,000 DPRK troops are in Ukraine and that 4,000 of them have been killed .This is simply not true . The story about DPRK troops being in Ukraine has been repeatedly refuted and debunked but the FCDO chooses to repeat these nonsensical lies .
The Korean Friendship Association of the UK denounces the unreasonable and hostile action of the UK FCDO against People’s Korea . We resolved to redouble our efforts to Defend People’s Korea !
We believe that Britain’s foreign policy should be based on truth and should be independent .Britain should reverse its hostility to the DPRK and pursue a policy of co-operation for mutual benefit . It should end the sanctions against the DPRK now !
