Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) — The U.S. is getting all the more reckless in its aggressive military acts.
In August it held “latter half south-U.S. combined commanding post exercise” against the DPRK. It also staged large-scale naval combined drill with Japan for over 10 days and in its wake started the one month-long joint large-scale military drill simulating the “contingency on the Korean peninsula” from August 26.
This is another serious military provocation against the DPRK and a dangerous act of threatening peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and the region.
The broad international community now hopes more than ever the parties responsible for the situation on the Korean peninsula would think and act with reason.
The U.S. which signed the historic June 12 DPRK-U.S. joint statement is under obligation to stop all military acts rattling and antagonizing the dialogue partner.
But since the start of the DPRK-U.S. dialogue process, the U.S. has never stopped DPRK-targeted military exercises of aggressive and provocative nature as evidenced by the utterance of the U.S. forces commander in south Korea that it is not just announced publicly but exercises are further intensified.
Clear is what impact the saber-rattling will have on the situation on the Korean peninsula as those war drills are rehearsed more cunningly under the scenario where the dialogue partner is defined as an enemy and the target of pressure.
Matter is that such a peace-wrecking act is not just attributable to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.
As known, the ultimate goal of Asia strategy pursued by the U.S. is to contain big regional powers and lord it over in the whole Asian region.
Big powers in the region are openly described as potential rivals in speeches made by U.S. politicians calling for world supremacy and THAAD, Aegis Ashore and other monster-like weapons have been already deployed in the region close to those counties or their deployment plan has been confirmed. The joint military exercises under way in Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean clearly prove the real aim sought by the U.S.
The frequent joint military exercises masterminded by the U.S. in and around the Korean peninsula are not irrelevant with this.
What can not be overlooked is the fact that Japan is thoughtlessly joining the saber-rattling, considering the exercises as a golden opportunity for realizing the wild ambition for militarist revival and reinvasion of the Korean peninsula.
The military nexus between the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries extremely endangers the peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and the Asian region.
Absolutely intolerable are the aggressive war moves of the trigger-happy forces going against the desire of the international community and the trend of the times. -0-
