Legendary Judoist Kye Sun Hui

Kye Sun Hui enjoys fame at home and abroad as a legendary judoist.

Kye in her teens bagged her first gold medal at the 26th Olympic Games. Since then she achieved her back-to-back triumphs at the world judo championships in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 and many other events. Such success earned her a IJF Hall of Famer in 2018.

While working as a coach at the Moranbong Sports Club since May 2012, she has trained a number of judoists, such as Jo Son Hyang who won a gold medal at the Asian junior and juvenile judo championships in 2015.
