National Exhibition of Budding Artists’ Works Opens

Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) — A national exhibition of budding artists’ works opened with due ceremony at the Okryu Exhibition Hall on May 11 to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s work “Let’s Usher in New Heyday of Juche-oriented Literature and Art as Required by Era and Developing Revolution”.

The exhibition was opened to further develop national art and stimulate the struggle of the Party members and other working people all out in the first year advance for implementing the new five-year plan by letting promising young artists create more excellent art pieces.

Displayed there were more than 230 Korean paintings, oil paintings, acryl paintings and sculptures created by budding artists across the country.

Also displayed were diverse art pieces reflecting the revolutionary spirit of soldiers and civilians who perform feats in the gigantic construction sites including the one for 10 000 flats in Pyongyang City. They also portray the happy life of working people and deal with the glorious history and folklore of the Korean nation.

During the exhibition there will be a technical workshop for the budding artists and a presentation of their experience. -0-
