National Photo Exhibition Opens to Commemorate Day of Sun

Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) — A national photo exhibition “Immortal feats performed for the development of our-style socialist countryside” opened with due ceremony at the People’s Palace of Culture on Thursday to mark the 111th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

On display at the venue of the exhibition are photos showing the feats of the peerlessly great men who indicated the bright road for socialist rural construction and trained the agricultural workers to be masters of the country and revolutionaries in the rural areas.

There are photos showing the noble revolutionary career of the President who had paid deep loving care for farming, getting knee to knee with farmers.

Watching a photo of Chairman Kim Jong Il who visited the Taehongdan County Combined Farm to clearly indicate the orientation and ways for bringing about a radical turn in seed selection for potato farming and other photos, the participants deeply grasped the feats of Kim Jong Il who kindled the flames of the agricultural revolution and energetically led the work to bring about a fresh turn in agricultural production.

Seeing photos of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visiting the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm, they kept in mind the benevolent image of Kim Jong Un who set forth the rural revolutionary programme in the new era and is wisely leading the struggle for making a leap forward in the Korean-style socialist rural areas.

Present at the ceremony were Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang City People’s Committee, Ri Myong Chol, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and working people in the city.

Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu made an opening address.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the venue of the exhibition. -0-
