Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) — The 34th Plenary Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Thursday.
Present there were vice-chairmen Kang Yun Sok and Kim Ho Chol, Secretary General Ko Kil Son and other members of the SPA Standing Committee.
Officials concerned of the SPA Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies were on hand as observers.
Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly, presided over the plenary meeting.
The plenary meeting discussed as its agenda the issue of convening the SPA of the DPRK, the issue of deliberating and adopting the law on the management of ID codes and the law on the prevention of pollution by noise, the issue of recalling and electing judges and people’s assessors of the Central Court, etc.
A decision of the SPA Standing Committee on convening the Twelfth Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK was adopted with unanimous approval at the plenary meeting.
Then, there was a report on the main contents of relevant draft laws discussed by the Legislation Committee of the SPA.
On the basis of study and discussion on the proposed bills, the plenary meeting adopted with unanimous approval a decree of the SPA Standing Committee “On adopting the Law of the DPRK on the Management of ID Codes” and “On adopting the Law of the DPRK on the Prevention of Pollution by Noise”.
The plenary meeting recalled and elected the judges and people’s assessors of the Central Court of the DPRK. -0
