On the 4th of March , Google , the parent company of Youtube , suddenly without notice closed not only the Youtube channel of the Korean Friendship Association UK but also the account associated with it . So not only did Google ban the KFA UK Youtube but it denied access to files and documents belonging to KFA UK , a totally scandalous ,arbitrary and unjust decision.
Google did not inform or consult with us before disabling the account nor did they warn us of their intention.
Google falsely claims there is an appeal process but KFA UK has even been blocked from submitting an appeal!
The reason given by Google is that somehow we broke the policy on sanctions . Although no evidence was actually presented to show what we actually did to break the sanctions .It is also not clear which sanctions they are referring to ? US sanctions or British sanctions or EU sanctions ?. It needs to be pointed out that neither US or EU sanctions apply in Britain . US laws and sanctions stop at the US border ! .
The real reason that Google closed the account was to stop people knowing the truth about People’s Korea and to sabotage the excellent work done by the Korean Friendship Association of the UK in spreading the truth about People’s Korea and defending People’s Korea with No Ifs and Buts !
Down with Google censorship !
