Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Hosts Luncheon for President Xi Jinping and His Wife Peng Liyuan
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), visited the lodging quarters of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People’s Republic of China, and hosted a luncheon for Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan.
The top leaders of the two countries and their wives exchanged warm greetings and walked together in the garden of the lodging quarters to deepen their friendship in a harmonious atmosphere.
The top leaders respectively referred to major internal and external policies of their countries and had a profound conversation, exchanging constructive views on domestic and international issues of mutual concern.
The top leaders of the two countries continued discussions about a series of plans for strengthening collaboration to more significantly decorate this year marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and China and to get greater satisfaction in the friendly relations between the DPRK and China, and about positive promotion of the situation of the Korean peninsula.
Then Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces of the DPRK Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju conducted Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan to a specially-arranged luncheon site at the rosarium of the Kumsusan State Guest House and unreservedly sat together with them in a cordial atmosphere like the same family members.
Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping referred to the fact that through the five rounds of meetings in a little more than a year they had profound communications as well as excellent and beneficial talks to have deep understanding of each other, reached a consensus on important issues, deepened the comradely trust and forged special relations of friendship, and expressed their will to creditably carry forward and glorify the friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries in the future, too, whatever the international situation.
Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan expressed their thanks to Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju for sincere hospitality and enthusiastic and special reception and protocol events during their visit to Pyongyang.
