Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Receives Commemorative Medal from Russian President

Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a commemorative medal from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Great Patriotic War.

A ceremony of conveying the commemorative medal “The 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” to the Supreme Leader took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on May 5.

Present there were Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon, officials concerned, Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members.

Alexandr Matsegora, upon authorization, courteously conveyed the commemorative medal “The 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” and a certificate from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, to Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, to Ri Son Gwon. –
