UK KFA statement on Raab’s visit to south Korea

                                        UK KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION

29th of September 2020.

The UK Korean Friendship Association issued  the following statement today concerning the visit of UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab  to south Korea and the Demilitarized Zone  today ;
   Through the media we learnt that UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab visited south Korea for the so-called ‘5th Britain -south Korea strategic dialogue ‘ and also visited the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) .
   Visiting the DMZ was a provocation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea . The shameful history of the UK on the Korean peninsula should be recalled , it was the UK that sent troops to fight against the young People’s Korea in 1950 and prevent Korea from being reunified . Instead of aiding and abetting Korea’s division , the British government should take a positive stance towards the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula and not interfere in the affairs of the Korean nation.
   Raab made an empty call for the ‘denuclearisation ‘ of the DPRK together with the south Korean puppets . This is also an affront to the DPRK . Instead of the so-called ‘denuclearisation ‘ of the DPRK which is basically a code word for regime change in People’s Korea , Britain should work for the denuclearisation of the entire Korean peninsula which would include the withdrawal of US nuclear weapons from in and around the Korean peninsula .
    Rather than sending Raab on a visit to south Korea , Britain should have torn up the unjust sanctions  against People ‘s Korea and Raab should have visited Pyongyang to strike a post Brexit trade deal with the DPRK which benefit both countries.
  Britain should stop supporting south Korea and instead forge better relations with People’s Korea !
NO TO BRITISH INTERFERENCE IN KOREA !
KOREA IS ONE !
